Thank you sweet friends for the lovely comments about our wedding photos! I am so happy that I was finally able to share them, if only there was a way to share our cake, too! Since that hasn’t been discovered yet (remember what happened to Mike Teevee in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory?) here is some yumminess in pictures from today.
I don’t know where my energy came from but today I jumped around from one project to the next. MAP arrived late last night after a very long three day drive, and this morning there was no rest for him while he unpacked our 14ft Uhaul. Somehow we were done by 1pm and I was on a roll! So while he snoozed what did I do? Well… I got my hands dirty pulling weeds in my Dad’s tomato garden, which may be my new go-to place for a cathartic hour or two, when I am graced with it, of course. I started (and didn’t quite finish) unpacking in several rooms. I made vanilla almond milk, almond-chia protein crackers (the green in the dough is from “whole-foods” protein powder), and spicy peanut kale with brown rice for dinner. I played a whole lot in on our clover covered grass with my beautiful son, and thanked our Gods for such fantastic, wholesome weather. And every time that I realized that we don’t have to count the days until we leave, my stomach fluttered and my soul did a little jig. I guess it isn’t too hard to figure out where this energy is coming from- it’s in everything around me. It seeps right into my heart. Oh California, you are so good for me!
